Loading Metre (LDM) Calculator for Road Freight
A loading metre (LDM) is one metre of truck floor across the full billing width — 2.40 m by convention. Divide the footprint of your freight by that width: a 1.20 m × 0.80 m EUR pallet is 0.96 m² ÷ 2.40 = 0.40 LDM. This free calculator does it for mixed shipments, stacking included, entirely in your browser.

Chargeable Weight Calculator (Road Freight)
Chargeable weight is the number of kilograms a carrier actually bills: the highest of actual weight, volumetric weight (volume × kg per m³) and loading-metre weight (LDM × kg per LDM). This free calculator computes all three from your dimensions, tells you which rule wins, and lets you set the ratios your carrier uses instead of guessing.

Pallets per Truck Calculator

Freight Margin Calculator — margin vs markup
A freight margin is measured on the SELL price, a markup on the BUY price, and they are never the same number: a 20% markup leaves only 16.7% margin. The sell price for a target margin m is buy ÷ (1 − m) — €500 at 20% margin is €625, not €600. This free calculator shows both figures at once.

Fuel Surcharge Calculator for Road Freight
An indexed fuel surcharge is the diesel weighting of your contract multiplied by the relative move of a fuel index: rate = weighting × (billing index − reference index) ÷ reference index. At a 25% weighting with the index at 112 against a 100 base, that is 3.00%, or €30 on a €1,000 linehaul. This free calculator also covers the cents-per-distance and flat-scale methods.
